Monteith Rock near Hackle Tooth Mountain

Another pic that may have modeler interest. It's not apparent what Hackle Tooth Mountain is now known as, however. this was a Southern Pacific illustration promoting its Cascade passenger train which from 17 April 1927, accompanying the opening of its Cascade Line between Black Butte, California and Springfield, Oregon, ran between Oakland, California and Portland, Oregon with a connecting sleeping car to Seattle. The Cascade was part of the upgrade of SP's Shasta Route between the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest.
